In June of 1772 brave colonists from Rhode Island burned the
British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee, in what has become
recognized as the first overt action leading to the American
Revolutionary War.
For the past 43 years the village of Pawtuxet, RI has
commemorated this act with our annual Gaspee Days Celebration.. Please
join us as we celebrate America's 'First

- Our local
schoolchildren dress up in Colonial style to give tours of the historic
homes and sites within Pawtuxet Village

Days Arts & Crafts Festival

Starting each day at 10 am to 5 pm

Parkway, Pawtuxet Village, Warwick
The annual
Arts
and Crafts Festival attracts approximately 50,000 people a day for
three days browsing and
purchasing the wares of the 150-200 craft exhibitors along Narragansett
Parkway in Warwick.
All while this is going on, there is a professional food court, free
family music, entertainment, and pony rides for the children
located in Pawtuxet Park. The proceeds of the annual Arts and Crafts
Festival benefit the running of the Gaspee Days Parade.

Aspray
Boat House
The
Aspray Boat House serves as a community focal point for Pawtuxet
Village, and is available for several area nonprofit agencies,
including the Gaspee Days Committee, Pawtuxet Village Association,
etc., as well as serving as a Warwick Ward 1 polling station,
and meeting and resource area for other neighborhood groups.
