In June of 1772 brave colonists from Rhode Island burned the British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee, during what has become recognized as the first bloodshed of the American Revolution.
For the past 48 years the village of  Pawtuxet, RI has commemorated this act with our annual Gaspee Days Celebration. Please join us as we celebrate

Starting each day at 10 am to 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, and until 4:30 pm on Monday

Narragansett Parkway, Pawtuxet Village, Warwick

The annual Arts and Crafts Festival attracts approximately 50,000 people a day for three days browsing and purchasing the wares of the 100-150 craft exhibitors along Narragansett Parkway in Warwick. All while this is going on, there is a professional food court, free family music and entertainment located in Pawtuxet Park. The proceeds of the annual Arts and Crafts Festival benefit the running of the Gaspee Days Parade.

The Aspray Boat House
The Aspray Boat House serves as a community focal point for Pawtuxet Village, and is available for several area non-profit agencies, including the Gaspee Days Committee, Pawtuxet Village Association, etc., as well as serving as a Warwick Ward 1 polling station, and meeting and resource area for other neighborhood groups. To offset operating costs it is also available for rental by the public on a time-available basis.
